I started out making big gestural strokes loading multiple colors on the brush. These accidentally reminded me of the old Pac-man games. Then I thought let’s roughly add the hobby house signage that I thought was clever. Next i felt the need to ad layers of mark-making to emphasize the playful nature of the hobby house sign but also seemed a little sinister - especially when the dots and dashes started to suggest space invaders (if only to me)!
