When exiting the Joshua Tree National Park we came upon The Oasis - a sign saved from demolition but slowly disintegrating in the desert sun. I imagine it was a welcome sight to motorists in the 50’s and 60’s. Saw it in the backyard of home on a side street far off the main drag.
