This is one of my favorite pieces for many reasons. I loved to play with and accentuate the shadows. The fractured and peeling paint took on a “map-like” quality. And, as in with many of my pieces, I saw a face emerging with two eyes peering out just beneath the lower neon bar and a wide hungry mouth opening on the rusty bottom of the sign. Now EAT has gone to a good home.
